Feature Updates

Release 2.2.0 includes an update to Study Areas.

Map Window

The FCC authorized the relinquishment of certain CETC designations and requested that USAC update the CETC map to reflect this. Study Areas have been updated to remove data corresponding to SAC Number:

  • 439013 of Cellular Network Partnership.
  • 419014 of Cellular Network Partnership dba Pioneer Cellular.
  • 439031 of Cellular Network Partnership dba Pioneer Cellular.

Feature Updates

Release 2.0.0 includes an update to Study Areas. This release includes some technical changes to meet 508 compliance standards, enhance the performance, and to align the map with current USAC mapping standards.

Map Window

  • Study Areas have been updated to remove data corresponding to SAC Number: 429790 of Chariton Valley Telephone Corporation as they relinquished their ETC designation in the state of Missouri (MO).

MISCELLANEOUS

The following were also changed:

  • Enhance minor map functionalities to ensure compliance with 508 standards.
  • Updated back-end API for location search. The map viewport should update to display the searched location (when one match is found) or display a drop-down list to select from the multiple results returned by the search option for the input text.
  • Remove Internet Explorer from compatible browsers.
  • Defunct code for Web Trends has been removed.
  • Added Google Analytics 4 tags.

Mobile CETC Map 1.0.0 Release Notes

Feature Updates

Release 1.0.0 represents the initial release of the Competitive Eligible Telecommunications Carrier Map (CETC map). The CETC Map displays the areas where CETCs are providing mobile wireless service and receiving high-cost universal service support. The support being provided to the CETCs was frozen in 2012 and will be phased down by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). For this reason, this support is referred to as Legacy support. The study areas are based off data that was created and verified in consultation with the FCC and released as of 01/04/2021.

The CETC Map consists of two main components:

  • The map window that displays the service areas on a mapping interface
  • A filter panel that allows users to select from a variety of filterable options, which are then displayed on the map window

The CETC Map also has an information panel that slides out from the left side of the screen, providing information about the CETC Map effort and data on the map.
